A dear friend of mine posted this video on her blog. I'd seen this video a few years ago, and it made my heart ache of the really awful kind. Perhaps my pain is even deeper now, having lived here in East Africa for over three years now, and seeing the reality of the world. Can you imagine living like these? How you'd feel to not have enough food to feed your children? Or have access to medical care? Or have water to drink?
Can you imagine?
I can't.

World's on fire. It's more than I can handle

It's true isn't it? But most of our spending habits and schedules would reflect that we really don't care. Just too overwhelming. Too scary, so we retreat into comfort, and try to forget and try not to smell the smoke.

Let's not let apathy rule our lives. Let's do something, shall we?
