What I/we did today...
-had breakfast (yogurt and granola for me, granola and milk for Eden, bananas and yogurt and wheat germ for Isaaq)
-had quiet time in the Word and in prayer
-walked to our neighbors house, sat outside on a mat, learned some new words in the local language, told my astonished friend about how white people, when we sit in the sun for too long our skin hurts and turns red. She still doesn't believe me. Tried to persuade Isaaq to stay on the mat rather than crawl around on the rocks.
-carried sleeping Isaaq back home. Listened to Eden tell me all about the goats she saw
-reheated some maccaroni for lunch
-made apple tea for me and Miss Eden
-made some chocolate chip muffins (blessings on the sweet souls who brought us chocolate chips:)
- played Candyland. Lost for the third time in a row to the current reigning Candyland Queen- Eden!
-worked on a report
-ordered a new dress online (compliments of Nanners- thank you!)
-walked to the neighborhood store, bought bananas, talked to my friends there
-made carrot pancakes for supper
-Played peek-a-boo with Isaaq while getting him ready for bed. He gets such a kick out of it. We have a little routine- I put his new diaper on, and while I'm searching for his pajamas he crawls away and "hides" in their play tent and laughs hysterically. I say "Where's Isaaq?" and he laughs again and peeks his head out. And then after a few rounds he'll come out and we'll resume our bedtime routine.
-Took a shower. Finally.

It was a good day. And tomorrow is date night. Can't wait!
