Pink Pajamas Penguins on the Bottom

My mom loves (loves) everything Disney. My sisters and I diligently watched every single movie with her. We also mourned with her when her VHS collection was ruined in a flood. If you join me in an intellectual conversation regarding the various characters, plots, themes, etc., you + me = besties. Thank you. I love you.
One day my sisters and I were getting ready in the bathroom and we were discussing if we thought Pocahontas made the right decision when she married John Smith instead of Kokomo (I know that's not his real name, it's my pet nickname for him). These are important conversations to have.
You're probably wondering why I'm writing about this. That's ok. My point is this. Give yourself a break today. Especially if you're an American. Things look a little crazy over there right now. Take a little breather from all the news... everything going on that seems so gosh darn threatening and life altering and enjoy this little story I have for you.
To begin... I think if you combined Disney's The Lion King and Aladdin you'd get a fairly accurate picture of what my life looks like here. Some days are a bit more Simba flavored, other days you would think that Jasmine and I are practically the same person. In this instance though... think Zazu. My friend was turning onto the road to drive up to her house and she saw a number of people standing around a LandCruiser and watching something. There was a monkey (mostly uncommon here, unless you're using Wikipedia as your main source of information), running up the windshield, sliding down, and then running back up to slide back down again.
If you don't think that's hilarious, please send me an e-mail. You are in desperate need of fun. Give me a call, I've got lots of ideas. I just danced to some random song going through my head (Ice Ice Baby... Baby Got Back...oh, the 90's were simply incredible).

PS: For those who are wondering, next time you watch Disney's "The Lion King" try singing "Pink Pajamas Penguins on the Bottom" during the opening song with the beautiful African chanting.
You'll never be the same again.
