-Isaaq gave me a gift. It was a container of clothes pins he collected. Charming.
-Eden broke a dresser drawer attempting to climb on top.
-Watched Eden make some amazing artwork. She is so talented.
-Taught Atira how to "shake her tailfeather." It's adorable.
-Found fresh cherries and avocados in one of the stores I frequent. = life shattering
-Was told by one of my friends that they changed the name of their 8 month old son. He was named "Born on Friday" (apparently husband didn't like naming their son based on the day of the week he was born on) , he's now named "Five" (referring to the number of the fingers on the hand). He's their tenth child.
- Made roasted garlic soup. It was delicious.
-Had date night with hubby. Watched some episodes from "Castle" and ate homemade chocolate chip cookies. So grateful for this man!
-Went to visit a friend and was again reminded of how often I am ungrateful. She lives in a hut made of tin sheets with only a very small window and the door for ventilation. Though it was relatively cool outside, Eden and I were roasting. I watched my friend tediously try to take care of her 4 month old daughter's diapering needs without a diaper. Many of the women here are unable to pay for diapers so they just try to contain the mess with clothes and a plastic mat on the floor. Watched my daughter graciously and effortlessly drink tea from a bowl instead of a cup, because I was drinking tea out of the only teacup the family had.
-Enjoyed some sweet time in prayer. It's amazing, how much more time I seemed to have in my day, when I planned my day around spending time in God's presence rather than planning my time with God around what I wanted to do that day
