I'm sure everyone is wondering what my yesterday was like. It went a little something like this...
-Woke up to Eden laying on my arm giggling and telling me to get out of bed. I tried to persuade her to get under the covers and go back to sleep. No such luck. It was time for me to get up anyways, and she knew it.
-Make some hot cocoa. It is around 60 degrees in our house. Whatever temperature it is outside, that is the temperature inside. I wore two pairs of socks all day long.
-I watered our zuchinni and acorn squash plants. I somehow got the seeds mixed up and now have no clue which one is which. As my househelper reminded me- it's ok, I'll figure it out when the fruit arrives.
-Took kids outside to pet and feed the goats. Watched Isaaq pound on the back of the neighbor's goat. Thankfully she's very tolerant of his antics.
-Went to go visit a friend. Enjoyed looking at the beautiful placemat she made me.
-Made tuna casserole for lunch to give my house helper a break. She wasn't feeling well. (she's much better today! PTL!). For tea time I busted out some Pop-tarts that a very sweet crew from the US had left for us. The kids went nuts. Whenever I get out something special Eden says "Wooooo!" and then giggles. It's the cutest thing ever. I'm so grateful that my kids are able to appreciate even seemingly small things like Pop-tarts.
-Papa Clarkson and I played a game of Phase 10 (well a variation of it) with Eden. Isaaq sat in his high chair and examined his pop tart.
-Have some sweet fellowship time with our Father while the kids napped. I may or may not have drank yet another cup of hot cocoa.
-Was extremely grateful that I was able to find cocoa last week.
-Gave MamaCat leftover chicken bones.
-Talked to my Nanners and Poppers on the phone.
-Thought about drinking another cup of hot cocoa.
-Walked to the store with the kids, bought some tuna, flour, soap, and popcorn (isn't my life glamorous?)
-Made tuna sandwiches for supper
-Played a quick game of 500 with Papa Clarkson. Lost horrendously.
-Slept. It was awesome. Except Isaaq woke up crying at 12AM. That wasn't awesome.
That was my day. I liked it.
