Hello all!
Life is going well with the Clarkson clan. We're currently living in Gilbert, Iowa (just a smidge north of Ames) and are throughly enjoying having our own apartment. One big joy of mine is using all of our sweet wedding gifts! It is sooo much fun!!! We've also been enjoying watching my belly grow and watch the little life of our daughter move about inside the womb. She likes it there and is seeming to enjoy games such as "Punch the bladder" and "Pluck mom's ribcage." I too, probably enjoyed these games while in my own mommy's womb, so I guess it's only natural. She's a strong little stinker though, sometimes her "love kicks" to my ribcage seriously hurt.
We've been busy attending childbirth, parenting, and breastfeeding classes. We would really like to give birth without any drugs and the hospital in Ames (and our midwife) have been well-equipping us to do just that. We just finished up week 36 and are starting week 37. Wow. This pregnancy has really flown by. I know people told us that in the beginning and I definitely didn't believe them. The pregnancy has gone just so smoothly, we could not have asked for a better pregnancy. Now, we're praying for a smooth delivery.
We've enjoyed getting connected with our church in Ames- Cornerstone, and simply delight in attending our connection group every Sunday. Community is such a huge gift! We were not made to be individual creatures, but a body. We've been so nomadic over these past two years of marriage, that it's nice to be in one location for a while.
We're keeping busy raising support, recruiting a team, job hunting, and preparing for the little one's arrival. We've been blessed with opportunities to spend time with our families, though the time always seems to be too short and is never enough!!! Ok, that's just about all I know! Thanks for reading!
