I thought maybe we were due for another update. Life in the Clarkson household continues to go well. Baby Clarkson is yet to make her entrance into the world. Last Friday we had our 38 week appointment with our midwife Donna and found out that the baby is at zero station in the pelvis, we were almost 2 cm dialated, and 100% effaced. Basically, it means that my body is ready for delivery, now we just have to play the waiting game. Yuck. My pelvis is really really sore from all the pressue of the baby and I'm anxious for labor to begin. It's so strange, this waiting that is, because we have no clue when we'll go into labor. It could happen at any time. It's like knowing that somebody is going to break into your house, you just don't know when (ok- bad analogy). We're very excited to become parents, albeit a bit nervous about the huge responsibility, but at the same time, in awe of such a gift as a little daughter. We're pretty excited about meeting her, and I'm sure you all are too. She's so cute.
Right now, I'm estimating that she will weigh about 12 lbs. I hope I'm not right, but she sure does feel like she's around 12 lbs. We've been having Braxton-Hicks contractions for about 2 months now and for some reason, these contractions always make me feel like I have to go to the bathroom. This means that often, during the night I will make 2-3 bathroom trips. This is kind of annoying, but I also know that this is probably serving in some way to prepare me for when she does come and requests to be fed every couple of hours. Goodness, life will change a lot, very soon. Hopefully, sometime in the future we'll have an announcement pertaining to the arrival of a certain Baby Clarkson:)
