Time flies! I can't believe it's nearing the end of April already. Wow. Seth and I have been keeping pretty busy preparing for our move to East Africa. At the end of May we'll head to Turkey for six weeks for a leadership training that we've heard excellent things about. I just think it's pretty ironic that when, during my senior year of college, decided to go on a May term trip to Turkey rather than a trip to Tanzania because I didn't ever think I'd make it back to Turkey again, but I was positive I'd make it to Africa. Now, I'm going back to Turkey and still haven't been to Africa yet, but rumor has it, that I'll be there soon enough:)
At first I was a bit nervous because I'll be 24 weeks pregnant when we fly out and 30 weeks pregnant when we fly back to the US. We brought this up with our midwife and she said that since it's been such a healthy pregnancy, she didn't think it'd be a problem. And the wife of the man who's leading the training is also a Certified Nurse Midwife (which is who I'm meeting with in the US). Good deal. That said. I'm really excited for the training and for the opportunity to grow and be challenged.
As previously mentioned, the pregnancy has been going so well! I can't believe we're onto 21 weeks already! Wow. The baby has been very very active and on a rare occasion you can even feel it's movements by touching my belly! I'm so excited to see it, and hold it! I think it's going to be hairy. Like a good little bohemian. It's a little overwhelming thinking about the birth and caring for a newborn, but I'm praying the Lord will provide. And He will. I still can't believe that we're having a baby.
