On May 14th, my dad celebrated his 78th birthday. Just kidding, he really didn't turn 78. And nothing against people who are turning 78. I think that's great. My dad just didn't turn 78. Anyways, I digress. My dad is kind of a goofy guy. He likes hunting (even the bear kind- which I think is scary), fishing, and eating good food (among many other things). One time when I was little I tricked him into taking me fishing. I asked him if he would take me fishing if I got an "A" on my math test. He agreed to take me fishing at "Darrell's Pond" (the best pond ever for fishing for small little sunfish). Little did he know I already knew that I'd gotten an "A." Wahahaha. I thought I was pretty clever. I was like, maybe nine years old. Another really funny memory I have is when he was trying to construct a zip line to go across our pond. He was the first one to try it out, only to discover that it didn't have a big enough decline, and thus got stuck, hanging from the zip line above the middle of the pond. My sisters and I about died laughing. Of course none of us offered to get the canoe to help him out. Nope, into the mossy muddy pond he went. He took it pretty well though. He's a funny guy who enjoys trying new things, and is always up for a challenge. On his birthday we feasted on my new favorite snack, Korean pancakes, and played MarioKart. I also got to chat with him on his birthday which is always fun as well. Happy birthday Dad! We love you!
