Another much delayed birthday blog post. Sigh. C'est la vie. On September 19th my very dear sister-in-law celebrated her 23rd birthday. She's a special gal who's always up to something new. She's also a wonderful mommy to my sweet little cutie-patootie nephew Graydon. I got to spend some fun time with Sarah on our most recent family vacation to the Lake of the Ozarks where we spent the week relaxing and eating a lot of food and trail mix. We really ate a lot of food, though currently I can't remember any of the food we ate, except trail mix and ice cream. Whoa. Lots of ice cream. The homemade kind even. I thought that Sarah was incredibly brave to even join this family outing as she had to drive from Texas to Lake of the Ozarks with my sweet little then-two month old nephew. Brave brave woman she is. Long car rides are tough enough, imagine having a two month old in the backseat who isn't yet quite able to understand why he's having to be in his car seat so much. She took it like a champ though and didn't even complain, when I probably would have complained endlessly. She really enjoys being a mommy. She's a good one too. Those little babies are a lot of work, that's for sure. We love her bunches and miss her so much! To celebrate her birthday I made a cake over our charcoal grill. It turned out really good. Cake is so delicious. And what a wonderful reason to celebrate this day!
