And... we're back. In the United States of America. More specifically, the state of Florida. Nice. About one week ago we packed up our humble and sweet apartment, walked to the bus station and hopped on the 4:20AM bus to the Incheon Airport. Checked our bags, did the normal airport security stuff, though we had a brief hold-up because they were confused about my knitting needles. I'd checked the TSA website which said that knitting needles and crocheting needles were ok. I told them that, but they didn't speak English and didn't know what knitting/crocheting needles were in the first place. They had an outdated TSA listing which said that knitting needles were not permitted but crocheting needles were ok. Then after consulting about three different people they decided that my needles were actually crocheting needles (who knew?) and were therefore deemed "safe" to have on the plane. Then we enjoyed a two hour flight to Japan, then had a longer flight from Japan to Minneapolis. Finally, the blessed reunion. We got to see our wonderful families again. It was an incredible feeling to be able to hug and hold everyone. We were able to enjoy a wonderful lunch and afternoon at Mark and Mark's house (one of Seth's godparents). We ate a lot of tasty tasty food and relaxed outside in the beautiful September weather. Then my family (Emily) headed back to Iowa so we enjoyed our time with the Clarksons. We went to a hotel close to the airport and met up with Aunt Pam, Uncle John, Ryan & Erika (and their two beautiful daughters), and Katie and Zachary (he'd grown soo much!). It was so wonderful to sit and relax and just enjoy being around our dear family. The next day we boarded a plane for Orlando to begin our next adventure, the HEART Institute.
