We arrived in Gumi City, South Korea last night (Thursday the 28th of September) around 10:30. Today we rearranged the room and got most of our stuff unpacked. We also got to sit in on an ESL class to get a feel for how things are done here before we start teaching on Monday. The Korean people have been nothing but generous and hospitable and we can't wait to learn more about the culture! On the flight over we ate some Bibimbop (a rice and vegetable dish with hot pepper) and today for lunch a co-worker took us out to lunch where we ate an amazing traditional korean meal including a wide variety of fish, meat, and veggies eaten over our bowls of rice. It was delicious! And while Emily hasn't yet sampled the Kimchi I (Seth) love it! All in all, all is well. Tomorrow we'll learn more about our schedules and other details concerning our jobs. Thank you all for your prayers... you remain in ours. Also, please pray for discernment concerning ministry opportunities while we are here. It was amazing as we traveled by bus from Incheon/Seoul to Gumi for as we passed by cityscapes you could sometimes see a smattering of glowing red crosses above the buildings (we assume each marks a church). It was wonderful to see. Praise be to Him for bringing us here safely! We are well.
