So, there's so many things that have completely surprised me about being a mom: the hugs and kisses, when my little girl puts both of her hands on my cheeks to give me a kiss, sweet smiles from our little son, watching the two of them play together, watching my husband love on our little ones, hearing Eden say things like "Wedgie!" and "Candyland!" watching Eden get so excited when she realizes it's "Tea Time!" and she gets to enjoy some treats and tea with mommy and daddy, and watching little Isaaq squirm right out of his chair, or lay on the beach and play with with sand. There's so many beautiful little surprises and gifts each day that I receive because I am a mom. I never imagined that I would love being a mom this much. And at the end of the day, I lay and bed, and sometimes tears come to my eyes as I reflect on how sweetly blessed I am by the Father. And in the midst of all these gifts and treasures, I wonder. Why in the world is it so hard for me to find time to go to the bathroom?
